    7.06 - A Lesson?

    November 1, 2011 by Thanassos

Well as everyone knows 7.06 is out and damn, it certainly seems to have started a lot more fires that it put out!

With all of the vocalness about Squire towers, difficulty of Halloween challenge, how powerful huntress had become I can't help but think that Trendy has tried to hard.... Don't get me wrong, I absolutely applaud Trendy for all of their hard work and efforts but it just seems like they've tried too hard to be in the community, listening to each and every post and trying to adjust the game based around the opinions of a vocal few.

In my gaming life I can't recall any developer who has issued such large adjustments (I don't like the word nerf) across so many areas without seeming to have sat down and properly tested it all first. I…

    Dev Blog 5!

    October 31, 2011 by Ltearth

Hello all you Defenders out there! It is great to see the Wiki buzzing with activity and seeing people taking interest into the Wiki. Hopefully with the right new recruits we can bring this Wiki to an outstanding condition. Although we encourage every one of you to edit and contribute in bountiful amounts we ask you follow certain guide lines. They will be listed below.

    1. Please do not create a page with only pictures or one line of text with out adding a stub tag.

I understand that this will not be helped, but at least if you regular defenders see this will add the tag to any page you come across. From there you can go to stubs in order to see what pages need work.

    2. If at all possible, please don't make templates with out consulting admin…

    And so it begins...

    October 31, 2011 by Thanassos

Well, this amazing game has now been out for nearly a fortnight and as I'm sure you guys would agree it's been a blast! There are some balance issues that I believe need to be addressed but it's all open for disucssion, overall for a game that only cost $15 and has already provided me with 120 hours of entertainment I can't complain appulse to TrendyNet for delivering such a polished product.

As a way of "giving back" I'm currently spending time updating the various wiki pages with photos, information, categories etc etc. This has turned out to be quite a huge task but thanks to the few others out there in the community who are helping, we really need to figure out a set of standards and focus together to get this rolling in the right direc…

Why are there blogs in here?

Really , I want to understand.

This is a wiki directory , why would people look in a blog on a wiki directory...

    Oh well , Achievement get.

No , really , there is no point in blogs here , unless someone is willing to disagree and prove this!

Edit: On the last few days I have finally understood the point of blogs and I would like to explain it

Blogs are a form of expression of our knowledge and emotions regarding that knowledge , they are less formal then a wiki page and are more effective in terms of giving out a message.

A blog does not necessarily need to be directly related to the wiki's content.

A blog post helps us , the people who write it , to be better understood by the people who read whatever it is that we wr…

Ha, So, I want this achievement ^.^

Added some pictures of me cos, It's late, Haven't went to sleep so did not think about adding anything else.

I own a Squire lvl 70 and other 3 basicly same level.

I recently also tried to add to the crystal images page, but, Alas, I could not because I did not know how, So, best I could do was to add the image of my fave crystal so far.

When looking at gear stats that have been uploaded, I notice that we have two different types of images floating around. We have images taken from the upgrade screen, and those taken from the pop-up tool tips from mousing over the gear. Can we please just use one or the other as a standard? My vote would be for the image from the upgrade screen, as it shows an image of the picture, and no green/red values based on your current gear. The only red values, in fact, are those that are negative to begin with, like slower projectile speeds and such. If you use the tool tip as an image for gear, we don't see an image of the item. Just a green or red thumb. The image has your cursor right up there in the corner, also a distraction, and detr…

    Yes! Activity!

    October 20, 2011 by Ltearth

Welcome everyone to the Dungeon Defenders Wiki! We are excited to know that the release of this game has been a hit! We ask all of you to Join Our Wiki and become members of our growing community. There is a small section called Code of Conduct which tells you small details about the wiki like our userboxes and how to format simple text. There you can also find a color chart of colors used on the Wiki. We will be updating the Wiki as soon as we can and as fast as we can. Remember that we also are exploring (a.k.a wasting countless hours) on the game! If you would a more in-depth tutorial about how to use Wiki's you can go [1] for a tutorial.

Please remember to be respectful and the most important pages are going to be locked so that only me…

    PSN Release Update

    October 14, 2011 by RighteousRage

So it is now known that PSN will be releasing on the 18th of October, rather then the 19th. This is due to the update schedual for PSN. There is no date yet for terrorties other then North America. It seems like EU might have to wait an extra week (pure speculation right now!)

Those looking to play right away might look into registering a US account and getting their hands on a USA PSN prepaird card!

    Don't Worry. I'm Still Here.

    September 12, 2011 by Ltearth

    =D I haven't abandoned my post.

I got bit by the Minecraft bug. If you are a fan then you know why!

As for DunDef we have one month and 7 days until the release on PC and Xbox! I am very excited!

Here is what I am going to be working on:

    1. A new poster about the release.

    2. Revamping the Familiars section of the Wiki.

    3. And the Weapons sections.

Those two sections need a lot of work! Keep checking back!

    Battle Arena of Etheria!

    August 22, 2011 by Ltearth

Announcing the Battle Arena of Etheria!

For all of you asking why the Wiki has a forum, it doesn't. The Battle Arena of Etheria is not a forum. The rules clearly state that the Arena is not for Support for the game or Socializing. And here is the basic run down of the Arena.

    • A place for users to match against players in their own level groups.
    • A place for specific Achievement runs.
    • A place to find players to do any runs.
    • A place where players compete in tournaments for prizes.
    • You have a Hero Card with Wins Loses and EXP Points. You can use those Experience Points to purchase goods from the Forum Store, but we made sure that it wouldn't affect the in-game Mana system.
      • 10 EXP points for an Archive of Etheria Official win.
      • Cheapest item is 10,000 po…

    New Codes Being Tested
A lot of you may have noticed some crazy layouts or things happening on the Wiki. We are implementing new codes for the Wiki that affect some of the areas. Announcments

    • Make sure you stop by the Development Polls page. There you can vote for features, content, and other features that deal with the Wiki. Here are some example questions:

      • Would you participate in a Fan-Fiction section?
      • Do you like the general layout of the Wiki?
      • Who is your favorite Hero?
      • If you knew more about HTML or CSS would you edit the Wiki more frequently?
    • The Code of Conduct page now has a very small and not finished section on formatting text. It explains how to:
    • There are new templates being created for the Menus. If they look odd or weird that's most likely because they are being worked on.

    Projects

    • A section that needs work is Familiars. If you have any information or media please add it to the Wiki.

    Weekly Thank You

Thank you to Jetah for being a crucial back bone of the Wiki. The Wiki has been evolving over the months and Jetah is one of thos people who put in some good effort in the last few months. I am truly sorry for the absence of your name in the post. Thank you Jetah.

    Announcements

Please remember that when uploading new pictures of something already on the Wiki to change the path on all the pages. Meaning pages where that old picture was make sure the name was changed so the Wiki will display the image. The easiest and best way to do this is to keep the name and type of the new image the same. Remember that if you edit through the Code Source option under the Rich Text Editor and start …
