The deeper well.
Aelwyn jumped down a small hole and safely landed within an old cavern in a ninja style pose. The other three jumped down to follow her. Gandar landed on his butt; Cho'ki landed on his back, and Hodren faceplanted into the ground, making Aelwyn sigh at their failure to land correctly.
"Well... Atleast we found the 1st Crystal." Aelwyn spoke. The other's got up and let out a sigh of relief. An Etheria Crystal was floating outside a small chapel.
"That was actually rather easy." Hodren smiled.
"I hope everybody else is in the deepest cavern for safety." Gandar spoke out.
"Uh guys... We got company." Cho'ki informed. He pointed to a small squad of monsters standing outside a door. 10 Goblins; 4 Dark Elf Archers, and 1 Orc. The her…Read more >
So I took a almost 2 year break from DD which ended just a few months ago in Feburary, but before I got really into Dungeon Defenders again I noticed the DD2 links on the Steam page and since then I have been reading almost every single post on the DD2 forums. Just wondering if anyone else on the DD wiki is as psched as me about DD2?
I Finally won an Alpha Key a week ago which means I can play when they have the next playtest, so I have good reason to be psyched I guess :)

Mundas, 14:34 PM. 2554 4th Era. Royal Castle.
Alewyn strolled down a hallway, decorated with banners and stained glass. She was humming to herself. It was a warm summers day and the sun was shining. She would of went for a rest in the Royal Gardens but she was on duty, patrolling the castle hallways. Hodren walked out of a door to the side, due to him not looking where he was going, they collided.
"By the Gods, Hodren! Please look where you're going when you're walking!" Moaned Alewyn as she got up. Hodren got up too.
"Sorry Alewyn... I was day-dreaming." Replied Hodren. "I expected no less... You're nearly done on your rounds anyway. You can daydream when you're off duty." Remarked Alewyn. Hodren chuckled. "I'll keep that in Mind. Bye." Hodr…Read more >
Wikia recently got the chance to sit down with Trendy Entertainment and play a pre-alpha build of Dungeon Defenders 2, the forthcoming sequel to 2010's popular tower defense/action-RPG hybrid. While DD2 shares many similarities with the original, Trendy has made a number of changes to the Dungeon Defenders formula, which will be delineated below.
DD2 expands on the genre-blending conceit of the original in a number of ways, substantially upping the pace of the action without sacrificing the potency of the game's strategy-oriented systems. In fact, Trendy has also managed to widen the game's tactical scope by introducing an elemental Trait System. While the original forced players to pause the action and enter menus to carry out certain task…

With the Dungeon Defenders 2 cooperative beta scheduled to release either late this year or early next year, we are curious about what updates and tweaks Trendy Entertainment has planned for the Dungeon Defenders formula. You probably have your fair share of questions as well.
Luckily, we have the chance to talk to the developers at this year's NYC Comic-Con -- and we want to ask them questions on your behalf. Post any questions you have about Dungeon Defenders 2 or the development process in the comments below and we'll do our best to get an answer.
Keep your eyes on the Wikia for an exclusive video of the interview in the weeks following the conference!

Hello gang, it's been awhile. Just hopped back on the game after burning out over Borderlands 2, and notice the rampent number of high levels. Also noting all the fantastic gear they have farmed/traded for. That's all fine and dandy, but it's really hard for me to join a room anymore with my Monk. I've known why since release of this game: (DUR, MUNK CAN'T DPS! WHERE'S YOUR EVENT WEAPONS! KICK!) Well, let me display to you the specs of my Monk. Keep in mind this is console, so PC players, reframe judgement because of the lack of mytherial gear:
- Monk Lv. 80
- 136 Health: 2250
- 148 Damage: 6,462 x 5, 13,776 x 5 with Hero Boost (Sun-Kissed sword; range)
- 100 Speed
- 60 Repair Rate
- 100 Tower Boost
- 315 Hero Boost
- 87% Physical Resistance
- 88% Flame Resistance
I will be bringing the accessories page up to date.

Trendy Entertainment has announced Dungeon Defenders II, and it will have two distinct modes: cooperative and competitive. The cooperative mode will be similar to what you're familiar with in the first game. The competitive mode will be 5 vs. 5 MOBA gameplay. The other news is that the game, including both modes, will be free-to-play with microtransactions for heroes and cosmetic items. For more details, see the official site's FAQ page.
See the full announcement at http://dungeondefenders2.com/blog/
So what do you think about these changes for DD2? How interested are you in playing the competitive mode?Read more >
Wtf?.... Whenever I unlock a Dungeon defenders Achievement on Steam, The achievement won't count as a Steam achievement, the only way you can see that I have unlocked them is if you look around in my tavern.
I have unlocked a few achievements in DD but it still says 0/98 0% when you check the DD steam achievements...
This is kind of pissing me of, because I want my damn achievements! I deserve them!!! D:
Is this just happening to me? It only happens on Dungeon Defenders not in any other game...
I've tried "Verify Game Cache" but nothing happens... Help if you know how to solve this...

Not sure if there is an online list or anything, but I just got through watching these two, rudyREDZILLA and Dkar98, take Fade97's weapon after he dropped it on the ground. Yes I know, 100% his fault for dropping anything good in the tavern and expecting the host to be honest and not abuse--I mean accidently click the kick. Sad thing is these two were really trying to friend me; I don't friend anyone if it's first meet. Man the word 'friend' is being used very loosely these days...any who, stock these two up for the red flag on the PS3. I don't condone theft in my community. :[

All eight characters, level 74, the goal to hit 78 seems to only become more insurmountable than farming that one weapon to have 100 upgrades or more. As the game requests our undying, relentless devotion to level, pillage, and worse of all, kick those who only want the same. By the time you hit 74, experience becomes more important than eating or drinking water. I just got through overhearing one player throw a fit that dinner was ready and his parents wanted him to come down and eat. Has leveling on this game become more important than food, water, your parents?
The greed this game nurtures from our souls is no where near the searing bile the world already projects. When it comes to gathering experience, it also tends to blind us. Another…Read more >

My leveling tips... lol ;D
Remember this was made by me and noone else so its just my opinion of how to level up fast!
High Level players : This works if you are 4 players, (works with less but you get less experience with thinking of how long you will be playing) play Mistymire on insane, each player take one enemy spawn point and kill all the enemies that spawned from there and when the first wave is completed, just restart the level ;)
Low level players : Build up a tower squire. Then play Ramparts on Hard or INSANE and follow this setup(recommended on Hard... ;D) when you placed all your defences change to your low level char or just keep playing as your squire ;)
Building up a Squire : Play Deeper wells on normal / hard untill you reach l…Read more >
So, I've recently gotten back into DD after a LOOOONG dry spell. A friend of mine powerleveled me up to 74 on my Squire and gave me some hand me down Myths to get me back in the game. Since then, I've been leveling up my toons to 74 so I can start working on gearing them all up and such. You all know the routine. Doing this, however, means that I have been spending a LOT of time running Glitterhelm Insane HC. Like, enough time that I dream about running it, building there, yadda yadda yadda.
The good news is that I have my first level 83 toon (my summoner), and have all of my primary builders up to at least 74. The bad news is that I have realized just how much people suck when I'm hosting games. I mean, I'm a pretty easy going fello…Read more >

I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting tired of all these eight year olds/18+ and up immature players who chatter on their headsets like aliens and decide to kick you for no reason. Why guys? And you know who you are. If randoms are that much of a bothersome to you, set your flipping sessions on private. Oh, I'm sorry, too much work for ya? You say you hate the thought of inviting your 'friends' through a simple system function rather than making it public and letting them come in as is while kicking those you don't know? This is why I host 100% of the time now; with the pleasure of remembering those who kicked me previously...nothing says, "Shooting the bird", like letting the player stay till the boss is near an inch of his/her lif…Read more >

Big news! Dungeon Defenders (with Steam key) is the headline game from May's IndieRoyale bundle! It's available until approximately May 9, 2012. The current price as of writing is just over $5 USD. The bundle includes four other games plus other content.
Fans of inexpensive, awesome games should keep their eyes on these bundles. Probably the best known is the Humble Indie Bundle which has included games like World of Goo, Braid, Trine (my #1 discovery!), Jamestown, and Super Meat Boy.
Unfortunately, searching for "indie bundle" on Google currently returns results mostly commenting on the irony of EA releasing an "indie bundle". (Interestingly, you can use quotes to signify both literal and sarcastic elements in the same sentence. Who knew?!)…Read more >

The experience needed for 70+ on console definitely needs to be lowered. Ok, first things first: I like to class myself as a rising veteran of Dungeon Defenders after creating 4 level 70s on Xbox and helping my friends to achieve great things. I realise I may have also started this off a bit big-headed but oh well. Anyway, I recently transferred from Xbox to PS3 and the first game I got was Dungeon defenders. After 2 days I now have a pure tower build Squire but here's my problem... what character should I make next? I was originally thinking about a DPS Huntress, then realised DPS Squires come in handy too. Also, after a large amount of reading, I finally accepted the helpfulness of monk auras and have contemplated creating a monk. And finally, an apprentice tower build always helps. So my predicament is so: W…Read more >

So after some time when cubicleninja planner wasn't updated with new DUs and maps i've decided to create it's clone, but better, faster, harder one! ;]
After 3 days i got it working. It uses parts of original planner JS code (it's hard not to do this in similar or even same way).
And here it is: http://ddplanner.com/
- Choosing ALL AVAILABLE maps
- Placing defenses
- Rotating defenses (by draggin yellow arrowhead that appears after hovering them).
- Deleting Defenses by double clicking them (now with cross-browser support)
- Adding Layout Name (will be used in link: /?l=ID,your-layout-name)
- Adding Notes
- Customizing DUs of towers with live update of spent DU
- Adding Guardians
- Toggling on and off specific class defenses on map.
- Show/Hide Crystals
