Its name and model are clear references to Finkle's Lava Dredge, a weapon from World of Warcraft which references the character Lois Einhorn, the main antagonist in the film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Both are a reference to the film, while Einhorn's Furnace Poker is also one of many items to pay homage to World of Warcraft within Dungeon Defenders.
