The Fireball Tower is the second offensive tower the Apprentice and Adept gains access to. It deals medium splash damage over the area of impact, which compensates for its slow rate of fire. Fireball towers are most effective in areas where monsters are grouped up. The explosion radius of the Fireball projectile is 4.3. The damage inflicted changes with the distance from the center of the explosion.Because the Fireball Tower is fire-based, it should be complemented by defenses that inflict generic or electric damage, or Magic Blockades which negate the elemental affinity of monsters.
Attack Speed Break Points
The table highlights various break points for the Apprentice's Fireball Tower in relation to points put into 'Defense Attack Rate'. Take note these are soft break points and that every point effects the attack rate or rate of fire. Upgrading the fireball tower also increases its rate of fire so the following table is for when it is maxed at three stars. The attack rate range between the first and last level gets smaller the more stats you have. So by around 800 there is no change.
Because of the way the game rounds down to the nearest hundredth, each row going down the ARD column has a range of corresponding APS values. For example, 7.5 and 8.2 attacks per second would both be displayed as '0.09'. This is because '1 / ( 1.35 * 7.5 )' is about '0.0988' and '1 / ( 1.35 * 8.2 )' is about '0.0903'. This is based off the formula 1 / ( 1.35 * x ) = y, where x is the attack rate displayed in game, and y is the attacks per second.
DAR: Points point into 'Defense Attack Rate'.
ARD: The attack rate displayed in game.
APS: The actual attacks per second.
- This table is a work in progress. More accurate values will be coming.
- These values does not take into account the effect of having a Huntress Guardian equipped or any other modifiers like the Series E.V. Tower Buff Beam.
