Mana Cost: 30

The Gas Trap engulfs enemies in coughing gas, stunning them for the duration. It does not affect enemies immune to poison. The Gas Trap is summoned by the Huntress.

When placed in a narrow path or doorway the enemies effected by this trap can completely block the path, preventing anything from passing through, including enemies immune to poison. Combined with any defense or weapon capable of hitting multiple targets this can be a very powerful trap.

Care should be taken when positioning this trap with other defenses to ensure the choking enemies are not held outside the range of other towers, traps or auras. This is particularly important with traps as the detonation range is smaller than the effect range. Especially when used with the Darkness Trap, the Gas Trap can be a very strong support for your damage dealing Towers.

It should not be used in conjunction with the Bouncer Blockade, Slice N Dice Blockade or Magic Blockade as these towers rely on enemies being at close range.

Be aware that certain types of enemies are completely immune to the stun effects of the Gas Traps, which makes other structures like Monk's Ensnare Aura a more reliable alternative. However, Gas Trap is a good way to deal with Djinns, who have no elemental immunity and are rendered helpless when caught inside the gas cloud.

Enemies immune to gas trap's stun include: Poison elemental mobs, Bosses, Ogres, Dark Elf Warriors, summoned Skeletons, Wyverns, Spiders, and Kobolds after they have ignited. Note that kobolds can be affected by the stun if they have not lit the fuse on their explosive charge.

Gas Trap stun duration scales up with Defense Base HEALTH stat. The Defense Base Damage stat does NOT affect the Gas Trap in any way.

  • Upgrading a hero defense increases its damage by 10% each level, and its health, aura lifespan or trap detonation charge number by 20% each level. (A level 5 defense will deal 50% more damage and have 100% more health than an un-upgraded defense).
  • On the other hand, upgrading a hero defense will mean that it acts as if the Hero has a higher Defense Area of Effect and Defense Attack Rate. A level 1 turret has a bonus of 2 to all stats, while a level 5 turret has a bonus of 36 to all stats.
  • While the hero who summoned the tower is active, damage is increased by 33% (PC).
  • Current as of PC version: 7.36c.
