The Hero Casting Rate stat determines how fast the hero will self-heal and summon, upgrade and repair defenses. It does not affect the Summoner's minion summon rate.
In terms of base casting rate and scaling from this stat, the Jester and Summoner have the fastest and slowest casting speeds of all heroes respectively by a longshot.

- This stat also determines the time it takes to cast Mana Bomb, Purity Bomb, Fire Bomb and Blade Vortex.
- Wielding equipment that lowers your casting rate will not penalize it below zero.
- Casting rates are much faster during a Build Phase than in combat. However, this difference is not as significant on Insane and Nightmare difficulty if there is limited build time.
- This stat does NOT increase weapon fire rate or attack speed.
