The Spike Blockade is the Squire / Countess's starting tower.

It has the second highest health of all defenses, only beaten by a 5 DU Physical Beam. Enemies that touch its spikes take a small amount of damage in retaliation.

Usage[]

Spike Blockades are approximately 30% larger than the Apprentice's Magic Blockade and are much more sturdy, but cost triple the amount of Defense Units. They are best placed at high traffic chock points where they protect ranged towers from enemy onslaughts.

On Nightmare and Ascension, Djinn and Sharken are major threats to Spike Blockades, as with all other non-minion walls. Spiders can also cut their durability in half if left unchecked.

In Redux, the Spike Blockade has better health scaling and its enemy aggro radius is 10x bigger.

Tips/Notes[]

  • The builder's Defense Range and Attack Rate stats make no difference to the Spike Blockade nor any effects that increase range or rate. Its range is fixed to 2.25 and an attack rate of 0.4 seconds.
